Well, I'm starting to enjoy it a bit more.

I don't think you can say Steve Pizatti is bad driver, its pretty hard to drift a road car on street tyres at speed on dirt tracks - I found it funny that he hit the white marker pole! Remember that Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James may aren't precision drivers either. Hell, even the Stig stacked a Koenigsegg!

Charlie Cox does annoy me a bit - he's the only one that wears an ear-piece and he's obvioulsy scripted. The other two are quite good - Steve is calming down and Warren is relaxing a bit too.

I'll continue to watch the show

The road marker was on of those flimsy plastic ones so no damage done, I would have loved to have been at the track when Tander stuck the White W427 into the tyre barrier on a Motor mag shoot.

The show is getting better, a lot less stilted and more than happy to see a bit of vehicle carnage.

I think that the show is defiantly improving. As time goes on the presenters will become more relaxed. You have to remember that these guys would be under a ton of pressure to get this show just right. They have awfully big shoes to fill with Clarkson, Hammond & May. After all those three have had nine series to perfect there banter. Also SBS has no where near the budget of the BBC.

Agreed, Charlie Cox could not seem so scripted and loosen up with all the arm gestures.... makes him look like he's trying too hard. Other than that I think that it has alot going for it.

How many car shows are there on australian TV that aren't one giant info-mercial? Zero.

Top gear puts all the other Aussie "Car shows" to shame IMHO.

Keep it coming and the show will only get better, and give them a break FFS!

Oh jeez! Can we all get over the poor little defenseless Astras! They would've been donated by the manufacturer and it was a bit of fun!

Charlie annoys the hell out of me too!! I thought they did a pretty average review of the W427. All they did was a high speed run, drive it on dirt and then on the skid pan. Don't get me wrong I love seeing the sideways action and the smoke pouring off the back but a bit more indepth review would be nice.

James Courtney is going to be on a future episode of Top Gear, saw it on his facebook that he is headed to Sydney today for it.

Wonder what he will be doing on it? Perhaps they will have race drivers compete around the track like on UKTG where the F1 drivers drove the reasonably priced car around.

I went to a taping of Ep5 last week, will be on TV next week. All the in studio banter between presenters is scripted (with only a little ad lib) and is rehearsed before shooting with the audience. Kinda funny when they do retakes and ask you to laugh just as much at the jokes 2nd/3rd/4th time round. It just means they think and plan alot in advance, more efficient really. I would imagine UK TG is similar. Another thing about Charlie, they have a makup woman onsite and he definitely got the most attention between takes adjusting hair etc. The ear piece he wears is linked to the guy in charge of the production, who incidently they lovingly call Satan. Basically he gives the ok or not about each take and I guess directs the guys and what's happening next.

Missed a few episodes but the final was definitely a sh*t load better than the first few. Especially the rant about buying a locally made product.
