yeah, big woop-de-do 250...

I used to do that going to get milk from the corner store in the EVO....

Expensive Daewoo have always been much smarter in marketing than Ford, yet another example.

I've enjoyed the last 2 eps, and will continue watching.. pity it is becoming a Expensive Daewoo advert.

was good to see that ramp they set up for the astra's, it was destroying them!

How could anyone like last nights show???

Best part was seeing Jack Thompson flip the FJ and that film was from 30 years ago or something.

Seeing that midget/garden gnome trash the W427 on the dirt road and hitting the white sign was stupid and he cant drive for crap.

The lawn bowls thing was it for me though. Watching them reverse up a steep slope in a $45K new Astra Convertible nearly ripping off the front bumper and then banging down the ramp and in to the other cars is crazy and not very entertaining.

I will never watch this show again and start putting on the British versions I have on DVD when its on.

I can't watch it anymore, it's terrible.

And for people saying not to compare it to the original, give it a chance as an original production, I can't. It's a direct copy of the original, and a terrible copy at that.

I'm embarrassed to watch it. I cringe whenever that prat they call the host opens his arrogant mouth. And I cringe when I watch them 'drive'. Donuts in a hilux is not an entertaining way of filling a couple of minutes of air time. (Are they going to do it every episode??) And knocking over road markers while flogging a 150k 'supercar' on the dirt... gosh, I can't believe the editor let that footage go to air. :spoton:

I reckon the show is pretty good for what it is. Ford should follow the marketing ploys of the opposition, but apart from the XR6T and F6 what do they have? Maybe a local Focus RS would be good. Also HRT make a supercharged R8 for 100k which would be much better performance value for money, but they are right showing the W427 the way they did, will probably become another collectable.

Did you ever see series 1 of the UK top gear? Compared to the current polished version it wasn't that great until James May came on board. I think they got the Aussie presenters right first go and it will just be a matter of time before they are more widely accepted. At the end of the day it's great to have a quality production TV show about performance cars home grown, all with the Top Gear name. Get into the Aussie spirit!

The only thing they need to improve is the test track, either it's not that great or they need better camera angles to show it off. Maybe a few overahead panning shots to show the layout which is not very clear.

IMO the show is SAD AS, its try hard to the max, even the stereo type of the new guys is a complete rip of the the brit guys.

It should be its own thing IMO, not trying to copy something else, even down to the same style crapy old seats.
