Guys

just got the new ute yesturday.

As I have never driven a turbo before I have just one question, when the revs get over about 3000RPM I get a hard push backwards and the engine makes a strange whistling sound. Is this a fault and should I report it to Ford?

Any help would be appreciated

Timmy

Lol definately take it back something wrong there!

The ladder racks was dealer fitted accesory. Cost around $1,000. they also cut out the tonneau around the 3" tube. I tried not to rev over 4000 rpm for the first 1500 km, but did it couple of times, no sudden push forward, just smooth acceleration, didn't hear any strange noise from the engine. The acceleration certainly much quicker once the rev are over 3000 rpm, but no turbo lag.

You probably have an F6 motor instead of the XR6T one
