I haven't used bags of ice for a long time. I had a problem with water leaking down the back of the engine when the ice melted, and was warned by officials a few times for dropping water on the track. I now use some water spray, then use 3 curved aluminium plates out of my freezer that are used to chill bottles of wine I.e from a wine chilling kit. They fit very well over the curved Nizpro plenum.

Yeh, come 8pm, my car had been sitting for about 2 hours since the run at 6pm, and it was quite cool, although the plenum still had heat in it. So I grabbed the bag of ice on it for about 20 minutes to try cool it down.. I still never got it real cold. It was still warm to touch.

So whats your next goal mate? Are you gonna keep running it till she blows?

It'd be good to do a 10 on the home turf at Calder :spoton:

Thanks Mick,

I was offered from 28" full slicks, and front runners (provided they fit over my brembos), so I might be limited because I'm unable to put 15or 16's on the back

You might have to get a set of stocky brakes put back on to run the slicks and front runners, could be another tength or 2 just in that.

You will have to run crossply front runners if you run the slicks on the rear.

well, I'm gonna do it again at calder.. But as for what I do now, I'd need to change to a 15psi actuator possibly, during the day I'm pegging 100% duty on the wastegate, and its only getting 16.5psi or so.. during the night, it only needs about .85 duty to get 18 odd psi or so..

had I had a standard wastegate port, it would likely hold higher boost as it wouldnt be able to bypass enough via the wastegate.. but you dont get precise boost control that way.

Yeah, I've still got my old brakes before I switched to the brembos.. What size rim do I need for a 28" slick?

and yeah, I know I need crossply front runners.. Dont wanna end up in the wall running the full slick..

after that.. next mod? maybe a GT42.. given that blueboost has shown the BA engine can hold together for a 10.40 pass...

Either way, I'm not fussed.. a 10 second pass in street trim on pump fuel was always my goal..

Depends on how wide they are. most manufacturers have the tyre and rim info on their websites. Don't forget that the taller tyre is going to affect your gearing,
