Well done Danny.

To me this seems to be a separate sub-group.

4-speed auto, stall convertor, stockish turbo, good 60' of around 1.6 secs, around 370-400rwkw, 124-126mph, MT's ===> 10.8 to 10.99 when well executed.

I do think it helps to keep the IC and plenum cooler.

Anyway you should now be happy with yourself.

Brian

very interesting how you gained 3 mph from the plenum cooling, when I ran my time my plenum was almost too hot to touch now you have me thinking lol.

Stockish turbo? It is stock except for actuator and wastegate port job.

Blueboost had a convertor also, and so did Mick with his 10.80. Technically still a unopened BA engine.. Sure I've smashed the auto's plantery's a few times now.. lol

Amazing how my 60foot can improve from going from a stockish convertor (my last one was tight), to a 2800rpm convertor

I hope in the cooler weather at calder, to improve my 60foot by half a tenth.. bring on a 10.80!!

but yeah, I'm extremely happy with the time. it was always my goal back when I bought the car (before blueboost did his 10.95).. But I've only been able to throw finances at slicks recently, and risked pushing the motor now that I have another daily vehicle

Yeh.. I replaced them with AU ones again.. When I pulled my last AU ones out, I was shocked, it was only 1 tooth broken off.. the first BA set made a total mess of the box in comparison to this.. so yeah..

Bag of ice on the plenum.

Dico2020 also ran his car, he was very disapointed, and disappeared to his cabin with mates for drinks at like 3pm.. His running a process west plenum, and man, I couldnt keep my hand on his plenum for more than a couple of seconds.. It was damn hot!

Congratulations Danny, well done :buttrock:

Yes slicks can sometimes help even though you have no wheel spin, because they are a lighter tyre, so there is less rotational mass, but too big can also loose some mile per hour from extra drag

again conratulations, you're hard work is paying off

Exactly. Stock means factory to me. Most of us have "stockish", which works very well.

I haven't used bags of ice for a long time. I had a problem with water leaking down the back of the engine when the ice melted, and was warned by officials a few times for dropping water on the track. I now use some water spray, then use 3 curved aluminium plates out of my freezer that are used to chill bottles of wine I.e from a wine chilling kit. They fit very well over the curved Nizpro plenum.

Thanks Mick,

I was offered from 28" full slicks, and front runners (provided they fit over my brembos), so I might be limited because I'm unable to put 15or 16's on the back
