Guys I am looking at purchasing a Nail gun to build timber frames and general timber to timber connections.

I am looking at a Paslode 900240, does anyone know if this is good for what I am wanting to do, or any other ones you can recommend???

I am wanting one I can really take anywhere and use without taking the Air Compressor as it is huge.

Anyways thanks in advance for you suggestions.

Cheers

James

Mate I'm a carpenter. So use guns a fair bit. If I undestand it right you want to buy the Gas pasolodes so you don't need a compressor.

I've used a few of these and for small jobs not to bad, The only downside to these are the cost of nails and gas compared to regular nails. But in saying that you don't have the cost of a compressor. Charging the battery imo is a slight downside for me. Other than that they are a great gun. I personnally wouldn't go nailing full house frames with them.

I wont be doing FULL house frame but will be doing the odd renovation here and there.

I am just finding nailing with the hammer in fairly tight areas becomes annoying and a nail gun would help out with that.

I am off to Bunning this morning to have a look see as I am going halves with my brother in law.

Cheers and thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the reply Mitch.

We ended up hiring one for the day and I bought the 3000 nail and 3 gas cartridge pack too.

It did everything we wanted and was so easy to use my 50kg wife can even use it easily.

I am now looking at buying one (well 1/2s with my brother in law)

I will try to find the best price and let Bunnings beat it by 10%
