Do any of the Ford dealership service people, on this forum, have access to acceptable oil consumption figures for the new turbo engine?

I'm after acceptable usage for a run in period and then usage over the life of the engine.

I'm only after accurate data not previous model usage or opinions, just facts from Ford.

Cheers

I've got no troubles at all. Done 6400kms and two oil changes.

One at 959kms ( mineral oil went in) and one at 5000kms ( Penrite SIN 15 went in).

I'm trying to find out info to settle a difference of opinion between a couple of work mates, all mechanics by trade.

well a tech school your mates would have been told and shown this, they also would have been told that each engine manufacturers has there own theory, some go on hours others go on fuel used

In general, modern engines should not need oil top up between services, with my experiences with v6 4.0 Bravo, 300C v6 turbo diesel, Subaru 3.0 outback and Subaru Forrester, none of them need oil top up between services. No doubt they might use some oil but shouldn't drop below MIN before the next service. Have it check out if yours uses excess amount of oil.

It's not using oil.

I'm only interested in the FG XR6T specifically.
