AJJ Member 32 Member For: 17y 6m 8d Posted 11/09/08 05:23 AM Share Posted 11/09/08 05:23 AM Ha guysI have a XR6T ute BF 6 sp man, with only 25000km's on it.This is the first car I have had with factory warranty on it, and I am trying to work out if I should lose this for more power.I have had this car for about 3 months and the problem I have is that it just feels slow now.However I know this isn't the case when I drive my girlfriends Echo, or look in the rear view mirror.I have been having that mod vs warranty issue that some of us have.I understand the mindset of "play and pay" the issue isnt trying to get around ford warranty, I understand this is gone once you edit.I just want to try and look at all the factor's before I do anything.I have been looking at getting the phase 1 kit fitted ( injectors, customer tune ) estimate 310kw at the engine, for $ 2400.What I want to know is with this mild power up, will there be issue with breakages.have you guys had any issue with the engine, or drive train.I understand with a generic edit, there has been engines blow, but has there been any on custom tunes.or any other problems.Guys with injectors and custom tunes how many k's have you racked up.Also is $2400 a good price, and what else need to be considered with this power up, clutch or is this o.k at this level.Thanks for your time Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/49622-phase-1-any-problems/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

They aren't very good at coping with power levels above stock so maybe budget for that at the same time.Also, $2400 seems a bit on the pricey side so maybe have a shop around? Where was that quote from & which state are you in??
