HAHA, wasnt really thinking of making the worlds first submersible XR6 Turbo......this car totally looks like it has been owned by an stereotypical 50 year old Telstra exec, also I think being a Tassie car it would be quite rare for an xr6t to be a fleet car.

Now I just have to wait until it comes up for auction, win it :buttrock: and then let the mods begin!!!! :w00t2: :w00t2:

I was thinking injectors, fuel pump, bigger cat/exhaust, intercooler and edit in that order....does that sound like a good start???

G'day mate, mine is a May 06 build and has the Typhoon internals. I went to Ford with the engine and vin number and they looked it up and said that it had the engine upgrades.

90000 is alot of k's, but if it drives OK, then I say go for it especially if there is a limited choice of them.

Thanks xrgt ego, that's exactly the answer I was after, will have to get hold of the engine and vin numbers too then and take them to ford.

Did you just take them into your local dealer?

Yeah Joshy, that's the one!! The person doing the condition report took it easy though.....there is the kink in the door which isnt mentioned, there are dents in the roof and a massive scrape under the front spoiler. I dont understand why they would not go into detail and most of the things that I have mentioned would be unfair wear and tear????

I spose that's why its always best to check the car out for yourself. You should never buy a car sight unseen, worse thing you could do!

There was a 08/04 BA MKI XR6 NA with Luxury Interior Pack, Towbar, Roof Racks finished in Black with 112,000km on it up the other day in Belmore, NSW on Pickles. They had it on a fixed price os $12,400. I thought that was a pretty good buy, the pictures looked ok, just a couple scrapes... but for $12.4K for a car like that, who'd really care!? Was sold within 24 hours. Who knows though what coulda been wrong/right unless you check it out or have someone check the car out....

Been watching the auctions for a few weeks now and last week a 07/06 BF EGO XR6 N/A with 34,000kms went for $15.500 which in my opinion is pretty bloody good!!! The car only had a couple of tone chips on the bonnet and other than that perfect.........

Going out tomorrow to do a final inspection on the black T and take the vin and engine numbers down so ford can confirm for me that it has got the typhoon internals.....

Hey mate, dont know about the roof dents, but try and find a BA or BF XR with NO scrapes under the front spoiler, impossible. Too low for car park bolsters etc....so I wouldnt sweat about that.

Kink in the door? Depends what you mean, many late model Falcs have 'lines' going down the door panels near the door handles, dont know why but they are there. Free factory accessory, my EL had them, my BA has them.
