Excessive Acceleration Pedal Vibration

Is anyone experiencing an abnormal amount of vibration through the acceleration pedal between 1700 – 2200rpm?

I can’t feel any vibration under 1700rpm and once the engine has spun up past 2200rpm, the vibration vanishes. It’s just in that 500rpm range where the vibration through the acceleration pedal is evident.

Seems rather odd being that the accelerator is of the drive-by-wire variety.

seems odd :o The car is "drive by wire" so there is no mechanical link between pedal and engine....

But the pedal is mounted to the floor/vehicle frame so any vibration may be felt through that and doesn't need a cable.

matt - I know it's a long shot, but the Expensive Daewoo V8 traction control system works by applying the brakes as well as moderating the accelerator pedal, which my mate (VT II Senator) has described as sort of feeling like the ABS sensation you get through the brake pedal but on the accelerator. Does that make sense?

What I"m trying to say is were you gunning it at the time, maybe traction control was kicking in? Just a wild shot in the dark anyway :)
