As I pulled up at work this morning ( about 6am 26/7) I noticed a BA XR6 in Narooma Blue with roof Racks parked near my office. I remembered that it belonged to someone who posts on here but still can't recall who, after parking my Ute I saw some people hanging around the car looking a bit suspicious so I went inside and watched them out the window.

After a while when one of them went to an old rough xD and got something that looked like a wheel brace from the boot I thought it was time to do something, I probably should have rung the Cop's but being a dumb Public Servant I went out to challenge them.

As I approached I yelled out " GET AWAY FROM THAT F*&%*$* CAR" and was promptly told to "mind my own business", (or words to that effect)

As I got closer I pressed one of the two BA Keypads that I always have in my pocket and to my surprise the Panic alarm on the XR6 went off!

These Mongrels just threw the wheel brace at me and ran off, it was then I realised that there was another person in the xD as it took off in a cloud of smoke.

It was too dark to get a Rego or a good description of the pricks but at least I have a good wheel brace now.

I had a good look at the car later and luckily there was no damage done.

If the owner of the XR6 has a need to park in this area overnight please PM me and I can tell you of a safer place to park.

Cheers, Bazza.

Great work, If only you were around my XR6 about a month or so ago.

I'd do the same if I saw someone's 'bird' in trouble.

there is a fella called Craig, but he is a phantom with roof racks.

I never leave my car in civic, or anywhere for that matter, without keeping a real close eye on it.

civic is full of real dodgy people. I know of a few break ins around the royal theatre.

Onya Bazza, should be more people like you around.

I reckon the best punishment for low lifes like that is give them 6 days basic training in the army, give them a M16 with one clip, a photo of Osama Bin Laden and drop them off in Eastern Afghanistan and get them to do a door knock looking for him.

Oh yeah and wearing a 'I Love Israel' T-shirt.

Well done Bazza,

You were lucky that the pr$#ks didn't take the matter further with you though!

There appears to be a major demand for Ford XR and Expensive Daewoo SS wheels at the moment, I have heard of numerous cases of wheels taken off the above vehicles.

This is one of the main reasons I fitted an aftermarket upgrade alarm with a tilt and shock sensor and also wheel lock nuts.

I was speaking to a guy on Friday whose SS ute had the wheels (all 4) removed whilst parked in his driveway, the pr%$ks dropped the car on it's sills after removing the wheels damaging: the sills, exhaust and brakes.

You have all read about my incident when I drove with only one wheel nut (the locknut) on my front LH wheel!

There may be a lesson here for all of us........

(buy a big bloody dog and leave chained to car!)
