when hooking it up to ignition,

which 2 wires did you hook it up too (which colours)

I have hooked mine up to power and ONE ignition (ON output)

I've read that fords have 2 "ON outputs"

(meaning 2 ignition points)

mine lights up fine, but when I turn the car off, the car turns off and the timer counts down.

any ideas?

Hey buddy, I'm no auto sparky but I am a sparky... two different trades bruv!

Any who I bought a TT, can't remember the brand but it was off e-bay, one of those ones with the pen shaped controller... $80.00

Look basically a wiring diagram will come with it in the instructions, theres not really a nice way to connect the wires to the relays... unless you buy spade lugs with twin connection points.

Depending on the TT there will be 1 cable to the controll unit and 5 individual wires for the rest... the rest being 12V batt constant supply, on 12V, ACC 12V, Ground (earth), Hand brake sensor. There are a couple of ways to wire it, one which keeps the radio goin and one which doesn't... I opted for the one that doesn't.

The unfortunate part of all this is that you cannot lock the vehicle while it is running (counting down). I have herd that the only way to do this is if you upgrade your alarm to something including a TT.

So if you do get a TT with the pen controller I suggest stickin it under the stezza above the tissue tray, looks good there. And if you need help send me a message and I'll give ya my number and walk ya through the whole wirring setup, its not to hard to do it yourself... :spoton:

hey guys tryin to hook up a turbo timer but am unsure where to hook the ignition wire to I only have a humble test lamp and trial fitted the wire to a wire near the barrell which had power only when ignition was on, the car remained running after I took the keys out but did not time out, I dont want to keep hit and miss trying diffferent wires, any help would be appreciated also I have a boost gauge I wish to install but have had differing opinions on where to connect the line. any help would be appreciated cheers

I just fitted my blitz fatt timer last night and the wites you should use from the back of the barell are the 4mm white=acc, 4mm yellow=const batt+/ 4mm black with a green stripe= ignition and 2mm black with grey dash=earth. What type of timer are you using? Normaly you need constant power to feed the unit when the ignition is turned off the ignition wire to feed power as iff the key is still on and the acc is the sence wire to tell the unit that the key has been turned off.
