I asked the service guy about getting a TT a while ago. he said its not necessary for the xr's as we have a ball bearing turbo (whereas the r33 has a ceramic turbo), and even if we turn out engines off, it still gets lubricated, where the r33 contracts (hence the need for the tt).

he also said its better to be safe then sorry, and recommended I leave it for about 2 minutes if ive been pushing it.

I use one just to be safe.. because I love to fang my car every where and I hate waiting for the thing to cool a little before turning it off....

Can you add a turbo timer that can be removed easily if needed?

I pick my car up soon and it is a fleet car which means I am not allowed to modify it at all, but I know I will be fanging it everywhere and like others in this thread have said, I don't want to wait a couple of minutes in the garage letting it cool down.

as I was thinking of getting one put in, but thought I see what you

people think first.
