how about everyone get back on the subject has anyone found a way around how to lock the car with the remote while it is still on the timer

so have u tried adding the central locking yourself?

Next question if you did:- did you just connect a after market unit to the existing mechanism. so the after market module flicks the factory locking mechanism?

Can you lock the doors with the remote when the timer has finished. If so maybe you could install a relay or something to lock the doors themselves after the timer has counted down and swithched the engine off. Also an auto up power windows feature would be nice. :spoton:

Turbo Timers. Does any one use one?

I have been told by a Ford sales person that you don;t need to run the turbo down?

Conflicts with what I have heard about turbos for the last 10 years.

This and most other water cooled turbos are designed to continue circulating water well after the engine is turned off. The water at the top of the turbo boils and draws colder water through it. Pretty clever really :spoton:

So running the engine after would just keep the turbo hotter longer.
