hey I got my flash tuner last week and I had it dynoed today.... on stocko boost which was 5psi it made 180kws.... then on the 8psi it made 190kw and the 10psi it made 202kw. that's only 20kw over the 5psi range.... my mates bf typhoon got the same flash box and he made stocko 235kw on 9psi then flashed the 10psi and made 265kw.... that's 30 kw just from 1 pound... they were dynoed on diff dynos and I was told the dyno mine was on today was reading low kws.... I jsut dont get how his car will push out 30kw buy going up 1 pound were mine hardly made 20 going up 5 psi.... especially when I bought it off xr6turbodevelopments that said that the 10psi should get 45-50kw extra.... what are your thoughts about this????

Was the car actually making 10 psi?

These cars all respond differntly to each other based on mods, condition of parts etc, which is why Custom tuningis the best way to play with these cars.

Although you may have put the 10 psi tune in, your car may have only been getting 8 for example in the top end. You have to also realise that power does not just come from boost alone, you have to optimize the air fuel ratio and more importanly the timing. The timing is where the power comes from, 1 degree can add more than 5 rwkw if done correctly, but can also damage things if too much is used.

I also have a question!! the instructions say remove the fan and fuel pump fuse before you flash? why? do you have to do it?

Did you get the flash 2? if so put it back on the dyno and have a play with timing, but be very careful how you go about it.

I believe it is so there is no drain on the battery, never done it and never had a problem

hey, I looked over my dyno print out and my psi went to 11 at 4500rpm, im still curious too how mine made that much rwkw on the tuner. I thinks the dyno place was just dodgy as all sh*t. lets just stick to bps. im gonna post my dyno print out and see what others think.. post urs aswell.
