Just wondering if anyone knows if the Turbo FG's are speed limited by the factory? Has anyone got 'experience' (on a private road of course :beerchug: ) of what the limit is?

Does a tune remove / replace this limit?

Thanks.

Generally the the Fords are limited to 230 and the FPVs are limited to 250. I haven't had a chance to find out in the real world though.

My FG G6ET is limited to 210 (but man it wants to go on). Actually on the sat nav it measures out at only 208.

Not sure if edit will remove this limit but I WILL BE FINDING OUT IN A FEW WEEKS TIME!

I've had mine up to 230.

It stops dead there though.

Not sure if the limiter can be removed with a tune.

I had an EL XR8 that had no limit on the speed. It did have an active speed sensor open circuit fault on it though.

The speedo went to 220 and I saw the needle past that on a couple of occassions.

Speed limiter can be removed with edit. How fast it goes from there, especially with a few mods and tune will see the car off the speedo.

Only on the track of course. To do this on a public road is foolhardy in the extreme

PHANTMXR6,

How did your car feel at these speeds? Solid or sketchy.

I'm not sure how confident I would be to want to go much fast than this in a stock FGT if it was able to go faster. Much faster than this would have to be the limit of the brakes, Downforce etc.
