The rearview mirror in my BA MkII seems to have come loose & rattling heaps. I had this problem before and got Ford to fix it up cause it was going in for a service at about the same time.

has anyone else had this problem?? Is it easy to fix up? I've had a look but can't really see how it can be tightened (at least not as easy as my old EF). Can anyone tell me if they know how to tighten it, I can't be bothered taking it into ford just for that.

Let me know when you find out. Mine isn't rattly during normal driving, but when I crank the subs HOLY CRAP it vibrates louder than the stereo can go.

I'm often driving around with my left hand holding the rear view mirror to shut it up!

I've been tempted to rip it out of the car, turn it upside down, fill it with something which will firm all the internals up on it (some glue of some sort) and when its dry to stick it back inside the car hehe

my one rattled until I cranked the stereo just a little bit too much, then it just kind of snaped and fell off haha, once I put the new one in it hasn't rattled since though....

Had mine replaced yesterday for the same reason.

Be prepared to receive a new windscreen with it. The mirror is apparently a real b*itch to remove without breaking the glass.

yes it is... it took me a good hour and many, many loud profanities :finger: to remove mine, you need tiny tools, which are strong enough to release the clip... just talking about it is angering me again.... :gaypost:
