How long do FG's take to build/deliver/dealer things sorted.

Just wonderring as my dealer said that my ute should be a one of the first built in september so im wondering how long I should expect it to take.

He told me they take about 8 days to get built and delivered then a few days for them to do thier thing(install dealer fit, rego it, detail it ect.).

Just wondering what other peoples experiences have been.

Cheers,

Travis

just spoke to Darren from Binks.

My ute is schedualed to start its build on Thursday and should make it to the dealer by the 19th at this stage.

He is going to keep me updated at each stage and get me the SIDO number as well.

Darren is very good to deal with and I would recommend him to anyone.

YAY!!

Id think of it this way, production dates and waiting time are better than the already pre produced , cant sell em, discount them now rush.

You wont be able to buy one in 18 months time anyway, so why would Ford rush to offload them now ?

Smart marketing on their part as far as im concerned , You want one, you'll have to wait for it.

Good things take time, at the end of the day , who really cares ? At least they are smart enough to drag it out as long as they can ,and milk it for all its worth , good on em ,Cash sells cars , not internet talk :outahere:

Hi guys,

I wouldnt worry about it too much mate. My dealer told me on the 18th August that my car hadnt left the production plant & it turned up there the next afternoon, had it on the 25th. Just try and be patient & you may get a welcome suprise??

PS - They are well worth the wait, incredible car for $50,000 - XR6T Sedan in my case.
