Lost Licence Poll

Well, people have been calling for it so thought I would start it.

Lets find out shall we!!!

As for me, have been fined twice, funnily enough both times were for 102 in an 80 zone.

So never lost licence and have only lost 3 points so far, will get them back in 14 months

Lost Licence once(87 in a 60, mobile camera), and went over the 12 point barrier at the same time...

Kept driving, did the double-or-nothing, and yes...2 years later, still clean

Also, got detected doing 127 in a 80 zone, by a fixed camera on the Monash Freeway near the Nylex sign....

Got withdrawn due to the whole *faulty* camera debarcle down here in victoria......

No comment as to my opinion/knowledge as to whether that camera was accurate

This should be an interesting poll. TTT

Is this just taking into account loss of licence through speeding offences, or does DUI count. I ask because up here I know of many more people who have been done for DUI than speed related loss of licence. The pole came about because of a speeding thread though, so do the DUI guys and girl get a vote?

Got done once for a detected 126 in 100 and believe me I was well under 120. It was a vehicle mounted radar travelling in the opposite direction on a lonely country road. With the 2km allowance I didn't loose my license for a month.

Lost my license for 3 months after an accumulation of points (2 separate charges, both on DD w'ends )

It ended up with me building my engine and making my car go faster...go figure

You know when you are young and you have to push the limits and find out the hardway what is too far? Well I Found out 227kph in a 110 kph zone was too far (Bet you didn't think v6 statesman could go that fast). 12 months and $1000 fine - but would have been longer/expensive if not for the fact they forgot to bring my driving record to the court case (only had 1 point left).

Clean for 4 years now - there's a time and place for everything + the money I save in fines helped me buy the xr6t
