Hey guys, my new FG should be delivered next week, I have spent this week removing all the audio gear out of my old car in preparation of installing it in the new one.

I am wanting to use the Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 in my new FG.

The FG has the premium sound package selected and as such it will have the factory amp in place.

What I would like to know is where should I wire the 3sixty in?? I was thinking of taking the speaker wires straight out of the factory amp into the 3sixty, this would make installation quite simple in regards to cabling.

Does anyone have the wiring diagrams to the factory amp? I need to know which wire is power, and which wire is the remote (on/off).

Of course I would also like to know which wires pertain to all the speakers in the car as well!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Ben

I havent seen an FG yet but going by ford normal system layout

DONT USE THE AMP POWER RUN NEW ONES !!!!!!!!!!

the amp is linked with the CAN bus system

your better off pulling the plug out of the amp

(this causes the hi-pass filters to shut off allowing full range audio to the SPKs)

Tapping the rear outputs off the speakers and the fronts in the kickpanels

(feed these into the 3.60)

Hook up your new subs/spkrs tune and enjoy

As I said I may be wront I havent looked at an FG yet so if im wrong please correct me

Thanks for the heads up.

I am still wrestling with the option of just having an aftermarket head unit installed in the tissue box area. The local installers reckon its much easier to do than the BA/BF's were......

Just ordered one of these puppies for the new ride!!

Yea one question with the 3sixty, what could I use for a remote on off??

Can you use the remote wire for the factory amp?

I really dont want to be wiring my 360 and amps to the acc switch.

if you take the 2 screws out of the end cap of the 3sixty where the RCA outputs are you will see 4 jumper pins and a blue jumper chip. take the blue jumber chip and put it over the two pins that says remote out. once the 3sixty recognises incoming sound it will turn itself on and create a remote output to turn other amps on.

here is the PDF about it.CLICK HERE

dont worry about the verifying the voltage, just the bit at the bottom about changing the jumper

Wow! What a sweet bit of gear the 3sixty is!

I think I could easily install this thing myself.

I have read through the manual but didnt see any instructions on setting for my front stage with 2 amps (ie 4 channels), one for woofers and one for tweets. I am sure this would be possible with the unit though???

So Sicklaser did you do an install in an FG? What was involved and where did you pull the spaker feeds for the 3sixty?

Interested as I'm about to embark on an install now too.
