1) Needs to have a turbo "performance" car

2) Needs to be black

3) Has to have less than 25K kms and affordable of course!

Fortunately #1 and #3 make the decisions easy! Evo, F6, STi et al dont fall into my budget and Evo's / subi's too old.

I just bought myself a Accord Euro, its a great car. I was looking for several things when I went shopping, and the Honda filled the majority:

Fuel Economy (casue it aint gonna get any cheaper, and ive still got my T if I want to go fast)

Cruise Control

Cheap to insure

Something the missus can drive, enjoy driving, and feel comfortable in too

Comfortable on long trips

WRT an XR6T, as I’ve been looking at them for AGES, I always said that one I buy MUST have

- A 4 litre inline six cylinder engine

- Double overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder

- A huffer

- An LSD :3gears:

- Premium sound :blaah:

It would ideally have the FPV steering wheel and sunroof, however I COULD buy one without these, but it WOULD have to have premium sound.

The T that I may be getting has this stuff (see signature  )

Deciding what car to buy these days is a hard thing, theres so much to choose from and most offer similar options.

1/ The first thing I look at is apperance, it has to look good, colour etc 2/ value for money- all mods and cons, 3/ comfort- seating, dash layout, vision 4/ performance and after market options-modding 5/ its not going to out date for a while 6/ and the most important factor is $$$$$ cause the missus will have my nuts!!! :spank:

1. Performance

2. Looks (needs to look tough, like its bursting at the seams)

3. Leather

4. Premium Sound

5. Sun roof

6. repayments

7. economy

I agree with Senna, if your not excited every morning when you open the garage and see your beast stairing back at you like a hunched over boar ready to charge, then you got the wrong damn car!! :spank:

As I get older my opinion is changing:

-Cheap to Insure

-Have to be able to drive to meetings & look respectable.

-Have to be able to fit at least one inline hockey bag & stick bag (harder than you think).

-Has to be reliable (dont know why I picked a Ford)

-Servicing cost

One lesson I have learnt since buying the XR is that I really need to check to see if the misses will drive the car (You sometimes need a designated driver, but if she doesn't want to drive manual then you have to stay sober :crybaby: )

My tastes in cars are wide and varied. I would probably be just as happy in a Golf GTI as I would my T. Very different cars though.

My list:

1) Fun to drive

2) Fun to drive

3) Fun to drive

4) Running costs ( insurance, servicing) have to be reasonable.

5) Practical. I couldn't own a Porche or Ferrari for the lack of practicality ( or the running costs come to think of it).

Funny how things change....

5 years ago when I bought the T, it was:

1) Performance

2) Performance

3) Perfomance

4) Looks

5) Leather/Stereo

Now with the kids it's:

1) Safety (wouldn't look at anything without the full airbag complement & DSC)

2) Performance (still high on the list)

3) Practicality (can my wife get that bloody pram in OK!)

4) Looks

5) Servicing/Insurance costs

6) Comfortable but stylish interior

OK, the FG XR6T it is then!
