Displaying OBD info on the larger screen would be awesome! Can't wait to see your results. I would be keen for one of these units!

Cheers

@ Beanie,

Oh ok no worries, so with the unit, I was thinking, for those with the ultimate ICC from ford, which detects how much sunlight is coming into the cabin and adjusted the temperature via that, people like myself with the basic one (I've got a futura so don't know if the XT has the dusk sensor which is used for climate control also) - but anyways, if we can get the info on how it collects that, it would be possible to program climate control into the base models with the dusk sensor, even using a digital thermometer to control cabin temp etc. Also, have you got the info on things like that dusk sensor with headlights auto feature? so that the ICC can accommodate this also? - not trying to throw too many things at you at once, just for consideration of you haven't taken that into account also.

Regards,

Steve

MrBean can we see the pics of the size difference between Serener GS-L05 next to your temporary temporary custom case? Are they much different in size? Whereabouts are you getting all your mini boards from in Aust or are you getting from overseas???

Cheers

@ GR8XR6:

Synrax Australia is the local supplier for Commell products.

You might want to have a looky at the new Intel mini-itx board, it accepts std socket 775 cpu's, with the big advantage of better cooling than available for Socket-P/M based motherboards.

I will post a pic of the Serener vs the custom LS-372 case possibly tonight.

Beanie

This is good. Finally.

Ok, I got a little over excited in TurboCorty's thread; however, I will donate my C++ and C# skills to this project.

As for CAD, is AutoCAD a prereq for this because I have access to better CAD software than that (think parametric :roflmbo: ). SolidWorks and Pro-E to name a couple. Heck, I'm no artist but hopefully as we go the ideas will flow. Although, I think we should get the electronics going before committing to this stage.

As for my electronics skills, I know enough to be dangerous.

What you say?

Hey Guys,

Anyone knows what happened to member Tree Monkey?

I am awaiting a donor ICC he would have sent a week back, and I cannot proceed until I have received it......

Otherwise we need to find another "spare" ICC somewhere - the dual-zone one, not manual unit.....

@ Austcro: I have a developement microcontroller ready, so we can probably start anytime soon. I will put the broadcast messages up tonight or tomorrow.

Br,

Beanie.

Tree monkey was active only a day or so ago Beanie - have you sent him a PM? He may have alot of work on his hands.

I've just read as much as I could understand across the last few pages - wow! Very interested to see how you go with this. If there is anything I can do from a Ford point of view, just let me know...
