Who said he wasn't looking through the papers and making phone calls? There's nothing wrong with asking the question in here too, and expecting helpful responses.Understand why I said what I did.You must realise that not every post made in this place will stay on-topic. There will always be strays, and people making a bit of fun of topics and other people. "Expecting helpful responses", yes, but you also must expect some not-so-helpful and maybe humorous responses as well.

QLD Posted 04/09/08 02:02 AM Share Posted 04/09/08 02:02 AM Have you thought about the tree industry, Tree lopping. I have been doing it for the last 10 years and I use to hate it untill I started to climb and now there is nothing I would rather do. I now have my own busness and only work a few days a week (but when I do work I realy work) and make over 150k a year. You are out doors, in differant locations, meeting lots of differant types of people and working out at the same time. I have met a few people who were in the professional/ uni qual jobs who left them to join us in a more physical, getting your hands dirty job and they love it. Most groundies I know are on $40-$50k a year but with no crap, just turn up drag branches, swing a rake and go home NO STRESS.Sounds interesting... Is there any study or apprenticeship required? How can I read up more about this? I'd love to have a job with no stress, in the outdoors, not always going to the same place every day to work and make ok money... When you say Tree Lopping... do you just go up trees and cut off branches? Or do you cut whole trees down? (excuse my ignorance!)
