I'm into Birds of Tokyo at the moment too. Good album. Also, an aussie band my mate told me about the other day. I'm lovin' them at the moment! They are called Lowrider, from Adelaide and they are a mix of soul and hip/hop. Very distinctive. Do some work with Hilltop Hoods too. I'll go through R&B, pop, glam rock (ie The Darkness), even swing stuff like Michael Buble! If it sounds good, I'll listen. Ghosti NOT THERE!... THERE! Member 852 Member For: 17y 1d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 29/08/08 01:20 AM Share Posted 29/08/08 01:20 AM (edited) I drive an hour to and from work every day, (Frankston to Hawthorn for you fellow Melbournians) so my stereo gets a pretty decent workout.Love my metal and all it's sub genres. However I regularly listen to a lot of electronic stuff (Pendulum, Prodigy, LCD Soundsystem, etc.) and punk/hardcore (DK's, NOFX, Agnostic Front, etc, etc).Queens of the Stone Age gets at minimum, a few weekly rotations, as does NIN.This week I've been listening to a few heavier mix tapes that include bands like Skinlab, Devolved, Job For a Cowboy, The Agony Scene and I've spun Meshuggah's Obzen a couple of times too.But on my way in this morning it was Mastodon's "Blood Mountain" album. These guys are the sole reason that I grew a beard (albeit a sh*tty one by comparison).Mastodon - Colony Of Birchmen. (Listen out for QotSA's Josh Homme on backing vocals) Edited 29/08/08 01:22 AM by Ghosti Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/49135-music/page/2/#findComment-725092 Share on other sites
