He didnt want any more details, so I didnt elaborate any further! And yeah scotty, I will most definately be giving whatever notice my current employer wants/requires. Ive been there nearly 9 years, so ill let him decide how much notice he needs. Now it all depends on whether this new job will cough up enough $$$$, as the new position requires me to relocate. BTW when negotiating your package, endevour to get your new bosses to pick up the relocation costs, eg removals, temporary accomodation , storage and unpacking as this can be a major cost to you otherwise.Don't make it a deal breaker , but if you don't ask you won't get ! This could also provide good leverage to negotiate bigger $$ if tradedand just not conceded. Most employers expect some to and fro on packagesGive me a call if you want any help with planning a package negotiation

Or hire some police swat team costumes and get your mates to come and violently arrest you for being a serial killer?

DO the leg work to set it up for a sicky so they dont catch on.

Posted 29/08/08 01:11 AM Share Posted 29/08/08 01:11 AM There's only one reason to tell your supervisor you're going for an interview:Your planning to leave anyway....Once the "boss" knows your looking your commitment to the job will be in question and they'llstart looking for your replacement. Or if it's a plumb job your boss may apply for it, or kybosh your chances with a narky phonecall, just out of spite.the first they need know is the day you hand in your resignation.
