Funnest one for me was a V8 supercar at Calder. Missus got it for me for xmas. Not sure what company does it but it definatly wasnt one of those half assed ones. It was a Monaro with all the supercar gear. I had 8 laps and thought it was f*ckin crazy, then went for a lap with an instructor. f*ck me those things can take a corner.

Most memorable ones were near miss's along route Irish in Baghdad in 2004. Crazy sh*t I tell you.

What was the near miss mate? Pm me if you dont want on open forum.

on topic, one of the best drives was in my 300+ rwkw manual Phoon from Singleton to Windsor down the Putty road. Followed closely by a private track day around Mt Panorama. The ole Phoon got a bit boaty at + 270km/p/h down Conrod  . Best fun you can have with your clothes on. I think naked would be better

One of my best ones would also be putty rd in a little sports car, didn't make the most amount of power but handled like on rails and rarely had to touch the brakes.

One of the scariest was coming into turn 1 at wakefield CLOSELY following a Ferrari F430 when he decided to brake about 100m earlier than I planned to. How I missed him I don't know.

Another was 'drifting' a hire Nissan pulsar in the NT at 180k's. went over a crest mid corner that unsettled the car a little.

Last but not least would be my dad taking me around Amaroo Park (RIP) in an ex WRC Lancia Delta. He basically drove it like he was on dirt which was quite interesting coming into 'stop go'.

A red Lotus Esprit, bit like pic, only had simmons fr19's

lotus_esprit-2002-L.jpg

at collie race track, in the rain.

owner had just got the car back from a rebuild, more boost and nos.

laggiest car I've ever driven, I say "takes a while to get on boost",

he replies "that's what the nos is for" and grins.

scary stuff

biggest animal I've ever driven. it was laggy, twitchy on the gas, twitchy under brakes, twitchy through corners, foot well is so small you had to take your shoes off to drive or you got brakes and gas at once. window demister did squat. banged your elbow on the centre console. lowest driving position ever

loved every second of it.

That turn 1 is a bastard! I spun a lotus a couple of times there trying to keep speed up for the uphill section.

Me and a mate hired an F430 while in vegas last year, had it taken off us after about 7 hours along with our camera. We had one to many people in the car and were alittle above the posted limit, the cops were pretty cool to. They called for it to be picked up and sent back to where we hired it, must happen alot I guess.
