Ghosti NOT THERE!... THERE! Member 852 Member For: 17y 1m 18d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 28/08/08 01:15 AM Share Posted 28/08/08 01:15 AM (edited) Back when I was on my P's, tearing around Melbourne for most of the day in an EVO9 that we had at work. I was supposed to be picking up/dropping off some gear but I kept "getting lost" and ended up taking about 5x longer than I needed too. What a pity...Was the first turbo car I'd ever driven and it touched me in a special place. I was never the same again.Actually it's a tie between that and another time at work when I had to go pick up a BF Force 6 (the BF had just been released) and bring it back to our offices. Turned on the stereo as I left the carpark and "Millionaire" by Queens of the Stone Age was playing on JJJ.Cranked the volume up and before I knew what was happening I was flyyyying over the Bolte bridge at the speed of sound with a huge grin on my gob. I actually reckon this would have to be my most memorable drive as it was my introduction to the Ford Turbo I6 and now look where I am lol.I've driven plenty "cooler" cars than these (Porsches, AMG 63 Mercs, a Lambo and the new Rolls Phantom Drophead) but the rides were nowhere near as memorable. I couldn't talk after the drive, I was just blown away, the acceleration was completely stupid. If you think me being speechless isn't too special - take a look at my post count, I've always got something to say! Most memorable driving/car related experience would be going to Fuji SPeedway and definately Tsukuba Circuit in Japan. It was -4 degrees with the windchill factor at Tsukuba, but I didn't care! Had full HKS kit with big twin turbos and made 380awkw (C&V built motor). Acceleration was crazy with all 4 wheels spinning in first and second. Very scary when a car breaks all 4 wheel traction as it trys to jump across lanes unlike a rear wheel drive which you can steer.
