Guest Hydro Guests Posted 25/07/03 01:04 AM Share Posted 25/07/03 01:04 AM I’ve run out of fuel as well for the first time in my life in my T. 40Km left on the trip computer and no go. My gauge is like nika’s, I can get 100 to 150km out of a full tank until the needle moves off full.

Don't trust the DTE, never did. But mine has run out of fuel while the guage is around the 1/8, a couple of mm above empty. Have argued it out with my service centre but they reckon I'm full of it. At least I'm getting my dollars worth from Ford Roadside.

Guest skanka Guests Posted 29/07/03 12:39 AM Share Posted 29/07/03 12:39 AM tintR> Everycar I have owned did the same thing to me, from full to half, the car does a lot of kms but from half to empty the needles just flies down. I have no idea why though. comes down to the shape of the tank I think, my magna was reverse, flew through the first half then the second half lasted ages, fuel tanks arent a perfect square/rectangle container, I would suggest that the BA tank is narrower at the bottom. Guest potai Guests Posted 29/07/03 07:22 AM Share Posted 29/07/03 07:22 AM I always run mine down to the 10km to 30km remaining range and the most I've had to put in is 65 litres so very happy with the margin of error.

Posted 29/07/03 10:06 AM Share Posted 29/07/03 10:06 AM The bloody chirping at 80km is enough for me to give the 'hawk' a drink. :D Geez these cars (with the radar detector as well) cheep and chirp more than a bush full of budgies.

Only the fuel warning light came on.

ONDOLE Member 70 Member For: 21y 11m 27d Posted 30/07/03 01:27 AM Share Posted 30/07/03 01:27 AM I've run mine down to 0km and stayed that way for about 5km of driving so I could get to the petrol station...seems to be quite a variety in the accuracy of the device
