Noticed that my turbo was spoolin a hell of a lot louder and the BOV was goin nutz. Loved the sound, but checked under the bonnet and the pipe from the crossover to the turbo was not connected at the turbo.Hooked it back up and all was well, but if id have left it who knows what particles being sucked in could of damaged my turbo/engine...Good luck with it dude, let us know how you go. sr20de Member 3 Member For: 16y 4m 11d Gender: Male Location: melbourne, Victoria Posted 05/12/08 12:09 PM Share Posted 05/12/08 12:09 PM hey guys this is my mates car, it got fixed ages back but just thought id update.he picked me up from work when he had this loud noise, he opened the bonnet and the pipe that goes from the airbox to the front of turbo was sitting nice and snug in the engine bay, so the turbo was sucking in air unfiltered.I must say giving it a boot the turbo sounded hot. although not entirely great for the turbo itself sucking in dusty air.from the passenger seat I noticed it had more top end guts but lacked a little toque down low.He took it back to ford and turns out they didnt do a great job reattaching up the pipes.Pays to check your engine each time a service is done just so nothin more serious falls off.
