I saw some custom badges on a friends car lately and it got me thinking of the possibilities - which are pretty-much endless. I'm going to make up some trials and am only looking to change my blue FORD badges with black ones, however you could customise these with anything you wanted and any colour combination. ie. FPV, XR, custom text/graphics, or even a photo of Tab kissing Senna if it floated your boat (I'm getting these).

The end product will be a self-adhesive badge, with a clear domed resin finish for that authentic look. I've got access to adhesive vinyl-cut sticker gear, but it doesn't look original. I don't like sticking stickers over the top of existing badges, as I don't reckon it looks as tidy.

The finished product would look like this kind of thing...

I'll let you know how I go and let you all know if they're economical to produce.

See if you can get some done up that are the right size to fit on the steering wheel. Id be keen for some with the HPF logo.

No worries. I'll give it a crack and see how it pans out.

That reminds me of some of my shenanigans of yesterday. I ran out a 1.2m wide HPF logo on white vinyl cut and stuck it on the back window of my mates current-model BMW 745i - added the obligatory "I wish I had a Territory Turbo" sticker too - pics below..

$230,000 for this model brand new. Not sure how much he paid though.

That's what makes it funnier, I reckon. If he left me waiting any longer, I was going to vinyl-wrap the whole damn car.
