I have a meeting with them this morning…..

let me know the outcome mate !! even though I always use a mates old man to service my cars, if it turns out they did in fact thrash your car I will steer clear of them even for parts and tell other mates to steer away from them.

Ok, met with the dealer manager, as it turns out all work was finished on cars by 12pm yesterday, you will love this; they had their xmas lunch at the local pub.

There were only 3 guys in the workshop who were not mechanics or salespeople, they were the car wash detailers and general s*it kicker.

The manager did ask them what happened while they weren’t there and as you can imagine they said “NOTHING!!!!”.

I said to the manager he should check a F6 ute which was there yesterday & today for its economy reading to see what that looked like, they came back and said that it mysteriously would not start but was fine yesterday morning.

So he said leave it with him and he would get to the bottom of it (a total blow off really).

So from now on I am going to drop the car off and wait for it to be serviced, just until the warranty has lapsed.

Then start the servicing myself or with my tuner.

Its a dealer in the northern, northern suburbs, that is all I will say, I don’t want to have slanderous accusations thrown at me.

Until the matter is sorted, if ever.

Can't post pictures now as lt/hr has come back down to 14.6, but it is worth thinking about for others, as photo proof is better than just saying hey this has happened because I wrote it down.

hmmm I think I know which dealer that is - I bought my phoon from them originally even though they arent an FPV dealer but they did a better deal than my local FPV place by a long shot.

I've never been there for servicing though.

All the dealers are the same.

I was at a dealer south of the river (non-FPV dealer) and I was getting something on my car done, which I can’t remember (xr6 turbo days), and my mate had dropped his GT-P off the get warranty done. I think it was the alternator or something. So we both delivered the cars at the same time and he left for work. I hang around and waited for my car as it was only going to take 15 mins and what would you know, his car drives out the dealership with some kid who can’t even see over the windscreen and beanie on nearly covering his eyes.

So I give my mate a call and ask him if what he is having done requires a test drive. He say no so I walk outside and see his car going past on the main road through all the first 4 gears to the limiter. His car has an exhaust, intake and tune so you could hear it fairly loud. My mate even heard it on the phone. So he hangs up and called the dealer principle and all he got was that they didn’t hear anything and that they cant prove it and gave him their word that only the workshop manager will drive it from now on even to move it around the shop.

We both don’t go there anymore and I don’t go to any dealer ship at all any more as well.

Sit outside the entrance of the Ford dealership with a HSV and follow your own car when it goes out on its test drive. Make sure you have a video camera and try and line it up at the traffic lights.

Chances are that the little shi- apprentice will take the bait.

what do we really expect give a 17-18 year old kid a chance to drive 300kw plus cars,I did the some just couldn't wait to finish rebuilding the motor wack it in , so I could drive it.My boss back then took one out, it got a little sideways ,crossed over the other side of the road head on into on coming traffic. The customer wasn't to happy,we payed the full amount to repair it and the boss slipped him a couple of grand for the inconvenience. The ford dealer I get my car serviced at has banned some of the mechanics from driving customer cars,I just tell them no road test on my car,its written on the job card and signed.I record the k's and tell them I have. You have to remember most mechanics are rev heads and most drive faster cars than the average person.Cheers Nick
