I have a vapour gas set up in my t and the tuner is having problems with the siemans injectors scaling to the gas injectors can you or pit lane explain the scaling you are talking about cheers G

Unlike vapour injection lpg, the liquid injection system does not use an ecu to control injector flow rates to get the correct air fuel ratio for the gas. The liquid system has to have the flow of the gas injectors matched to the existing injectors.

In your case, you have to have both ecu's tuned.

hmmm im banging my head against a brick wall over here

ive had it on gas for about 4 months now and he cant get the gas injectors to flow enough (even brown dots???)

im running out of options he,s even talking about puttin the std inj back in it

I can boost it to about 5psi them it stumbles other than that its fine and doing 280km for 47l around town

cars custom tuned to 245rwkw ,im ready for another tune to suit my new cooler and exhaust so im nearly goin to leave the gas as it is and just get it tuned again and turn it to pet when I want to squirt it

sorry for hi jacking your thread but I might need to talk privatley with you when conveniant :nono:

To overcome the problems you are experiencing, so conversions will switch back to petrol under boost, that may be an option for you or the only other choices are a different vapour injection kit or rip the whole lot out and put it on liquid, but that would be a very costlt exercise coinsidereing what you have allready spent.

worm, whats the latest?

Sorry boys.. Update...

Swift had a problem getting it running well on gas, so Hilbert from the Australian LPG Warehouse was coming to look at it at Pit Lane Autos today... So I will find out what is happening.

It is all installed fine, just not running as well as it should... Maybe they have not wired the lume from the ICU to ECU properley? Anyway, Hilbert is the man who designed the system, so he should be able to work it out.

So, in the mean time, Mick went to put the new 12psi actuator on my turbo... And when he went to put it on, found that one of the bolts was gone and one of them had fallen out onto the engine bay... So we decided to put in new turbo bolts designed by Nizpro that are not supposed to loosen as the original ones do...

So we had to take the turbo off... Mick says to me... "I am going to spend some money"... LOL... I think he meant... "I am going to spend some OF YOUR money"... anyway, he said that whilst we have the turbo off, we may as well port the wastegate and fit a larger flapper valve (I am now going to call this the "whore" valve, as it has a larger flap) as I intend to move to an XFORCE 4 inch dump with with 3.5 inch exhaust in the near future... No point taking the turbo off again later, so may as well do it all at once... :-)

So, I haven't heard from Mick about the gas today, except that Hilbert was coming in to look at it this arvo. We also had a problem with the VCT sensor on the right hand side of the engine, so I am not sure if this was affecting the gas system. And of course FORD being the dumbarses that they are, sent Mick the wrong part... Talk about waste people's time... Hopefully Hilbert will work out the gas this arvo and my car will be tuned on both gas and petrol tomorrow... And I will be able to join the 300+ club!!!

I will let everyone know tomorrow night how it goes... My list of mods are:

Nizpro Valve Springs

X Force 3.5 inch cat, with twin 2.5 exhausts (Not mandrel bent :stupid: upgrading soon to full XFORCE stainless with 4 inch dump and 3.5 full mandrel bent)

Wastegate ported with larger flapper

Rapid V3 kit (f*cking awesome piece of kit, sounds like a jet! Includes Under Battery CAI, hot and cold side piping)

Walbro Fuel Pump

Seimens 60lb Injectors

12PSI actuator

Liquid Gas Injection with recalibrated injectors to match flow rate of 60lbs injectors

And lastly a custom tune @ Pit Lane... (Tomorrow)

Hope to give you some good news tomorrow night...

Oh, and thanks to Mick @ Pit Lane... Working his arse off for me and other forum members!!! Thanks mate! :spoton:
