I've never seen standard springs go 300, and have seen them bouncing at 235 rwkw, but normally would expect to see 270-280 rwkw. Did you tell him you had 60 lb injectors?

hey ratter this is my old car and I did buy it with 40k kms on the clock but no signs of mods

had all my work done at blacktrack and yes supprisingly the springs have held to 308 actually did 312 but slight hint of detnation so backed off a bit, I must say on a real strong run say 10+ mins of good throttle you could feel the springs suffering ie rough idle , but general driving and the odd full throttle they where fine .

and Liam if the guys are talking less power for your money find some one else ,they don't know what their doing

the car also has no cat and process west surge tnk and pump , it is a strong motor though has pulled good numbers since the day I got it

Thanks for the update

Gas requires pretty much perfect combustion, so based on the spring issue, they should be replaced so you do not get any backfiring issues.

thanks Paul for filling in the things I missed:) looks like im going to get valve springs before I move on to liquid gas.. I might just wait awhile now and see when I can plan a trip to Melbourne definately sounds like you guys know what your doing down there and I really dont want to have my car in unsafe hands..

Firstly, $6k??? JTG system?? Im getting 300-350km from average 45L. Myne has smooth power and a good idle. I usually get around 80Km when the red light comes on. Something doesnt seem right, first point of call would be your installer.

Is your car modded at all?

I'm running a completely stock BA XR6T and I'm pushing to get 250km's to a tank of LPG.

I've had months of work (testing, dyno, calibration, tuning and now new injectors for LPG) and I'm still getting the same results.

The new injectors now have an issue of starting, it takes 10 - 15 seconds to kick over and this is said to be "normal" and to run it in over 1500km's.

But, most people are very hesitant to give results of how many km's they're getting to a tank, 300 - 350km's I'd be happy with, as Icom say it's supposed to be within 15% of your fuel economy. I get 450 - 460km's to a tank of petrol....... which should put it somewhere in the 350km's mark for LPG.

Hi Pube, which installer in Sydney did you use to install your system? Also, just want some feed back from you about the system, does it still have the lag problem like before or it's OK now?

Regarding to fuel economy, can you please post figure in L/100 Km on Gas and your driving condition, city or highway?

Ive had my JTG system for nearly 12 months now and its been all good. It was installed by Australian L.P. Gas Conversions in Wollongong, speak to Kurt. Excellent service from them, very highly recommended. I get around 330km from average of 46L of LPG which is roughly 14L/100km. On Petrol I was getting 11-12L/100km. All figures are combines city/hwy driving. I only has initial problems with a slight flat spot at low RPM and longer cranking of the starter motor on startup. That was just the LPG injectors bedding in. Starts perfectly now.

Hi there, I have been looking at a LPG system, but haven't got around to it yet. Is there only one supplier of the Liquid Gas systems?

Has some of you tested both sequential vapour LPG, versus Liquid injection LPG, and are there so many advantages that Liquid really pays off?

For a 6-cylinder car is it running two 4-cylinder units next to each other, or is there a dedicated 6-cylinder computer and valve block for the LPG systems?

Anyone in WA running their Turbo falcon on gas?

Hi Team,

I'm also looking into a liquid LPG setup for my BA MKII Turbo 4sp Auto. But have a few questions:

1. Is it true that on some hot days one cannot fill up LPG? I hear people pouting cold water over the tank in order to fill er up.

2. The only mods my car has is an external auto cooler, typhoon air intake, Nizpro Valve springs and a Tune to suit. Everything else is stock. Now if I install a Liquid LPG system with the current petrol tune loaded, can I then easily load my Factory tune with NO Problems? Well for that matter can I load anyone of the 4 tunes (Factory + P1,P2 and P3 tunes)

I have had never had any issues filling my tank, but any LPG tank refill relies on the pressure difference between the bulk tank and the cars tank, there is no pump like a petrol system uses.

Servo tanks are pressurised and that pressure will vary from servo to servo, this is 1 reason why tanks will take varying amounts of lpg when empty.

Other things that will affect are temperatures.

If it is a hot day, the tank on your car will be hot and will have a higher pressure than a cold day, now if you go to a servo and it's lpg tank is out in the open, it also will be hotter and it's pressure will be up, so there should be no problem filling your car. Now if the servo's lpg tank is under ground it will be cooler and have a lower pressure, that pressure may be below your tank pressure and if this is the case it may not fill your car.

This applies to all lpg systems.
