Hi mate...

I am getting it done at Swift Automotive in Dandenong South...

Over the next few months there will be about 10 companies who are fitting the kits...

The best people to speak to regarding this is the Australian LPG Warehouse in Frankston...

Australian LPG Warehouse

(03) 9770 2287

They are the ones who make the kits available, so they will know who can fit them etc... They will be able to tell you if anyone in South Australia can fit them...

If you are going to come to Victoria to get it done, you will need to plan a holiday. Unlike some other gas systems, Liquid Gas take 4 days to install.

Oh... I forgot to tell you... I am not getting my tank in the spare wheel... I am getting a normal tank. The boot is big enough for me, and if I need to I can use the Territory to carry stuff around... :-)

Hope this helps mate.

Cheers,

Worm

Not long now!!!

Next Monday it goes in. I was a bit worried about fuel supply... But I am informed it is running a Walbro pump...

Injectors have been flowed and calibrated to match my 60lbs Siemens...

Actuator, Rapids V3 cooler kit to go on.... And then a tune... Looking forward to more power than my stock machine atm.

so for the guys who are getting the LPG tank in the spare wheel well, im guessing u wont be carrying a spare wheel anymore? also how much LPG can the tanks hold and how many kms can u expect to get out of one?

I was told that the tank behind the seat can hold 53 usable litres and the spare wheel tank holds 50 usable litres. Im going to get a space saver spare wheel that I can put in the boot and maybe see if I can hide it with some sort of false floor depending on how high the wheel well tank is.

Hi,

I am very interested in your Liquid injenction LPG install. You will be one of the first guys in Aus. using this system on an XR6 turbo. The rumor is that the system uses less LPG than Vapour injenction. I would say it is because the charge entering the cylinder is colder than vapour injenction system and therefore will allow a more efficient combustion. Technically both systems will probably inject the same amount of Gas.

Besides all out power I assume you will take note of the little things like idle quality etc. Have you bench marked the cars current fuel usage, power output band performance? Looking foward to seeing your results.

You have made a good choice on the tank. Behind the seat puts the weight in front of the rear wheels therefore giving the car a better balance than the donut tank that sits behind the rear wheels.

I am going in to drop her off now... They better look after my baby... :-)

Yeah, I am happy with behind the seat as well. It may lower the arse end a little more too... Bonus...

Also, I pretty much never use the boot and have a territory if I need to put big stuff in... I would prefer a spare tyre!

Cool - I will be interested to see the power and economy differences between my Vapour Injection Kit and your Liquid Injection Kit.

when you get it and drive it around a bit post up the figures of power and economy.

For comparison sake:

-Currently have 255rwkw on LPG but this hasn't been tuned to potential yet. I was told it was good for closer to 270rwkw

-City driving I am getting 270-300km's out of 48 litres of LPG

-Country driving I am getting 370-400km's out of 48 litres of LPG

Over here I am filling up for 55c/L (after docket discount)

When you have driven it enough, post up your figures in comparison to mine and it will be good for everyone to see just for discussion purposes...not trying to compare measurements :)
