Oil leak on front of the engine and on the underside to the inlet cooler pipe to the turbo aside from other smaller things. Its a 2nd hand BF with 40,000 kms and balance of new car warranty (9 months left). Thing I want to know is, is the leak at the turbo inlet pipe a huge problem? and whats the deal with loan cars. I prefer to get an idea before being told I have to pay for a loan car if its supposed to be part of the cover. Any answers will be helpful. The leak on the front (although I'm unsure of where its from) was there before I bought the car and was told by the dealer it was fixed. Chances are it was just washed off before I picked it up since its there again now. Edited 20/08/08 09:57 AM by lil grey bf

All this new car warranty business is new to me. I just dont want to get into an argument with the dealership because they keep giving excuses or making dodgy fixes like Ive read so many times on here. Nine times out of ten they won’t have any available without plenty of notice and will expect a nominal payment of say $30 per day to cover "insurance costs" or some crap! But if you bought your car from that specific dealer and they consider you a good customer they may be nice and give you a freeby. Don't expect a late model well maintained vehicle though

I hope the dealership will have the decency not to give me the car I traded in as a loan car. Thanks for your help and suggestions guys

Tell them the problem and you want it fixed, dont letthem give you the run around, be nice but stern at the same time-if you know what I mean. Its been fixed before and you want it fixed properly.Good luck. Rob.
