Sorry for digging old thread up but in the user's manual, it warns not to do the LPG conversion except factory fitted. Would that affect warranty of the vehicle if you still do?

Can I still use the fuel tank after the conversion? Is it like dual fuel system?

yes mate, when you get a lpg conversion, you have two choices. the tank behind the rear seats which is about 55 litres water/50 litres gas, (gas takes up more space per litre than water) or the donut tank which goes in the spare tyre space, and that's about 65 litres water/60 litres gas. the vapour injected system will set you back approx 4600 I done properly and will take about 2-3 days after delivery of the system to your mechanic. Getting an aftermarked system installed wont affect your warranty, and you get 1750 back from the government as from the 1 july 2009. and it goes down every year. imo the best tank to get is behind the seats. it takes up the space but you dont even notice it, the only time I notice mine is when I need to fold the seats down which is really never.

A full tank will cost 25 dollars at 49.9 c per litre. But gas is going up lately so expect to pay just under 30 dollars.

I am getting 350k's to a full tank, and then the car starts to surge so I have to switch over to petrol.

I got my system delivered to sydney from ALPGW (australian lpg warehouse) and it is tuned over the net using remote desktop by the guys in melbourne. Its the best system imo, when I start the car it starts on petrol and then warms up and switches to gas, so you dont have to switch everynow and then to clear the lines.

Just my imformation. I know its a bit of a read but I have to say that converting to gas is the best thing I have ever done.

thinking about buying a bf falcon for the wife. With the 4 speed auto I know they are not the most fuel efficient cars. so looking for a dedicated gas falcon.

I have seen a nice car for approx 14k drive away with about 80,000 kms (only down side it that fact that it is the EXACT same colourr as my bf2 xr6t. Does anybody know the general life of the dedicated gas cars, I know a looked after falcon petrol motor will easyily last 250,000kms with few issues.

drove a work dedicatedgas ute yesterday which has had the sh*t flogged out of its, seems to still have a decent amount of power and torque.

Any other thoughts on the dedicated gas cars would be good, any good or bad points about them would be appreciated!!
