The clunk will most likely end up my problem as well. But dont forget, "Nobody knows your Ford like they do".I.B.
XRPete Member 673 Member For: 17y 2m 13d Gender: Male Location: Here Posted 19/08/08 06:52 AM Share Posted 19/08/08 06:52 AM I have the clunky driveline as well. I've tried fixed outside warranty with aftermarket parts, although its reduced it I can still notice it.You won't acheive anything taking your car back to ford apart from getting angry, and bullsh*t run a round stories. If it sh*ts you that much sell it and buy something else. Or put up with it. I'm slowly learning to live with mine.

(as I was quoted twice)I went aftermarket, and had a local mechanic fit it for $400 cash.I would get the backlash checked on your CV joints, as per Mal woods advice thread.if it isnt this, check the diff bush whilst the car is on the hoist. I had a BF1 XR6T (7,000k's)that had cracked welds in the body (rear end) that would have needed the whole rear welded internally & no guarantee that it would stop the torsional groaning. No offer of a new car ! Now drive a VE SS & have no complaints. Had a BA XR8 before the T & it had problems too.
