Hi guys, the next stage of my T's upgrade is Lowering so I thought I would find out how much some of you guys have lowered your cars before I decide on the amount to drop her.

So lets have some drop measurements from stock and some after photo's would be great, also any good and bad experiances with different spring manufactuers would be great.

Cheers DG

Usually kings springs lower them to a great height however it depends what you wanna drop it to. There's heaps of threads on it if you search around a bit :beerchug:

Yep had a look, found a few threads but not a lot of photos. just been out to the car and I figure that maybe a drop of 50mm would be good. But I would sure like to see a car with this kind of drop.

Does anybody know the legal ride height ? and I guess it would be an easy enough job to do, ive got access to a spring compressing tool so the rear would be quite straight forward I would think but the shocks have to come off the front so a bit more work involved.

Cheers DG

Ride height depends on your state - in Qld...

The ground clearance must not be less than 100 mm within 1 m of

an axle and the vehicle must clear a peak with a gradient of 1:15 on

each side

Im in the same boat, just about to lower my car but cant decide with what king spring combo to go for? I have found heaps of pics with sl front and ssl rear but I wouldn't mind looking at ssl all round just to see what it looks like. If anyone has any pics of this that would be great...

It is a pretty easy job if you've got the right tools. Compressed air & a rattle gun are a good start & a good quality pair of spring compressors are a must.

I lowered my car at home the other week & it didnt take to long at all.

Hi Russ, where did you find those pics of sl front and ssl rear, I would of thought that you get the same for the front as for the rear, correct me if im wrong. Do you want the rear lower than the front ?

I have sl front ssl rear and it sits pretty much level, dont have any pics with all rims the same (I have stockers on the back all the time) but it sits at a nice height and the ride is so much better than stock...
