Hi there

I am just chasing some opinions/advice on the following to see if it will work.

I have an mvix 2500U media player and would like it to play on the ICC in my new xr6 turbo (It has premium sound).

http://www.mvixusa.com/product.php?product=mv2500u

The mvix has AV and component output and can be set to display PAL or NTSC. My plan is to purchase aerpro plug 711761 then wire it up to the component (red, green, blue) of the mvix and plug it into my ICC. I have read a lot about using convertors but as I understand it this is for converting PAL to NTSC RGB. I just would like to know if since my Mvix can be set to output NTSC can I do this without the need for the converter? And is it as simple as buying the aerpro plug and wiring it up according to the diagrams given here.

http://www.fordmods.com/forums/BA-Colour-I...-Input-d38.html

My other plan down the track is to put a JVC AVX44J dvd player in the tissue box area. I was wondering if I were to buy this from the US (as the US website it outputs NTSC) can I also wire this up without the need for the convertor?

Any help would be great.

What you wish to do will not work, regardless of if it can be set to NTSC. The ICC requires RGB which is similar but different from component. The converter normally converts the video out to RGB. The way it is done on the fordmods site is correct though as they are reducing the sync signal to the correct output for the screen using a specific software program.

Thanks for the reply Fadi.

I got one more question for you.

I found another media player but this one outputs in VGA (like to a computer monitor). Would this one work or would I still need the convertor?

Thanks for your help so far by the way.
