Hello everyone,

I was just doing some work to my car and I starting to wonder??? how much power can a standard engine on a BF mkII XR6 turbo have before you start having some serious problems??

They're pretty strong. I know of a phoon that had around 400rwkw on a standard motor. All that it had changed were the valve springs

its a 6-speed manual I heard there pretty strong

Back when I had my XR6T I had changed my car to a T56 Manual (was a BA XR6T with a T5) and I had absoutely no issues with the T56 and mine was tuned to 346rwkw, I did upgrade the clutch though to a Mal Wood Option 3.

If you are you going for big power then you will have to upgrade the clutch, but the gearbox shouldn't have many drama's with whatever you throw at it (within reason...).
