lukus Member 27 Member For: 16y 3m 4d Posted 28/08/08 05:46 PM Share Posted 28/08/08 05:46 PM I just picked up my 2003 BA XR6T for $14,200 from NSW only catch is that its got 160k on the clock, however its been a company car and is in top shape so I wasnt too concerned about it. Honestly 18k for that in WA sounds alright, however I think you could do better if you shopped around a little more, maybe consider buying interstate. But then again you dont want to spend you whole life looking for it, just remember its not gonna go any slower than a BF.

(This is the first BF though.)I have to say that the ZF is a dream compared to the 4 speed. Handled incredibly well - few very minor marks (Nothing worse than a private car) The power this thing has left the BA's I drove for dead. Had a minor clunk when reversing - maybe the diff? Nothing else wrong - not a foot out of place...But overall - presented very well, interior was in really good nick as well as the exterior. Car has lots and lots of power (Well compared to what I'm used to...) And NCW.I honestly don't know how you guys drive your T's in the wet. Had a short drive and was nearly back at the yard, so I thought since it was a straight, I'll put my foot down and see how it goes (I have noticed that many of the Ba's I drove had no kick when you accelerate - High Km's I guess...) Now keep in mind I'm going dead straight here. (Rained very lightly beforehand) The rear end comes out and I have to dodge a curb and end up in the other lane. I honestly didn't expect that...I've driven 260KW HSV's and such that don't even do that...Are they prone to having the wheels spin like that? It seemed very hard to control compared to the V8's I'm used to...(I have owned a number of cars and have driven many high powered cars before - Just not turbo's.) But overall very impressed with the car in general and the power it had. I'm seriously considering buying it, but I'm still not sure...Hope this helps out anyone else with the chaser dilemna Cheers guys,Dan

How much do they want for it btw? Also with a turbo you have to get used to it, espically the in wet as power kicks in. Bit unpredicable when you first dirve it. Love how it kicks out and corrects itself upon gear change (6 spd auto rockS)
