Even our ex-government cars are still going for close to $30K...

Steel - Did you say BA's, here in Perth, for $13 to 17??? This is the first T I've seen under $16,990...

So I'm assuming that most of you this one's a no-no then...?

Cheers,

Dan

200+ it is going to be a high percentage of that done on highway and I would much rather get a 200+ highway car then a 120K city car

have you taken it for a test drive to see how it feels?

Like other have said, the fact its done 200k could not be so bad.

Has the car been maintaned?

How many previous owners has the car had?

What year is the car?

Is it man or auto?

Does the car have any factory options?

If you are going to by a clapped out 02/03 XR6T with no options (premium break, leather, premium sounds, etc) for 11k and spend another 6k+ fixing it, you may be better off getting one that has been looked after and is a low kms car for a bit more.

On the other hand the car you are looking at may be ok and server you well. But to be on the safe side you would be replacing a lot of wear and tear items on the car and all the fluids to be sure. That alone will be 1k+ for mates rates.

"Even our ex-government cars are still going for close to $30K..."

Surely WA has way better deals on T's than Tasmania? I would say that there is only 10 in Hobart....they must be alot more plentiful on the big island??

Anyway buddy what ever happens hope you get the car you want and it makes you happy, cause in the end that's really all that matters :beerchug:

just because it has 200ks does not mean it is going to be fuucked.

my cousins friend has a T with 270k and is running fine. he had done chip and engine and running gear was all standard and fine.

So get a comp test,

and get it checked from top to bottom. especially check the turbo, diff box.

also people who buy these cars should not worry about resale value.

You will lose the same if you buy this or bf. Maybe even lose more on a bf because they are still have a long way to drop.

Hey guys just wondering if this was a good price.

Saw a 2006 BF I 6 speed XR6T with just over 35,000Km's for sale for $28,000.

Has premium sound, 18" aftermarket rims and looks like new.

Just wondering if that was a reasonable deal? $20K will get you a massively high km T, $25 will only get you a moderate to low Km BA or a high Km BF.

Thanks,

Dan

Yes that is a good deal.. Is it at a dealer or private sale?

I would think with the amount of cars you have researched you would have a very good grip on the current WA prices.

^ yeah and ^^ yeah...

I'm just one of those people that research's stuff to absolute death...I can't help it...

Just saw this yesterday BF yesterday.

It's in fantasy with black rims. The silver outer rim is colour coded to match the car, and it looks f%^#ing mean as...

I think I'm going to test drive it! :)

Here's a pic!

Thanks guys - sorry bout the 'asking price' threads. I think I'll just have to bite the bullet if I want a BF...

What do you all think of it?

Cheers,

Dan
