FPV or Ford won't swap specific parts between models, they are very strict on this. If your dealer can source the wheels for you, they can do it, but the factory won't do that stuff

Courtesy loan cars would be good, something that would lower the inconvenience of being without your car. Essentially most of us use our cars to get from one place to another so it would be good to continue doing so when you don't have your own car. I dont mean loan cars you pay for, you could hire cars for cheaper than what you get a ford loan car (well what I've been quoted anyway).

Maybe some kind of proactive thinking would win customers too. Such as notification to loyal customers of a new fix released from HQ, information that the dealer well tell you you're entitled to without having to ask. Basically to let the dealership know he is on your side.

Or maybe information the dealership could pass on for aftermarket customisation that would be endorsed by dealer that would support specialised small business as well as impress the cutomer (a small advertisment).

Little things like that.......

I think I'm starting to ramble on.

do some of the little things better.

Ie if you bought the car in for some warranty work it would be good if the ford tech came back to you and said " Mate we've fixed the problem and whilst testing the car I heard a noise and I (the ford tech) wasnt happy with it so I fixed it for you"

If your car went in for a service it would be good to find some ford merchandise in the car once its finished

I agree 110%

Wiping greasy fingerprints off wheels would be nice too.

Also getting the seat and steering wheel back to even roughly where I left it, while it sounds a bit wa*ker-ish, it's one of those little touches that just makes the whole thing a bit less of a chore :biggrin:

Warrantied suspension packages like benjam mentioned would be nice too.

The little 'customer service' touches are really the main area for improvement though IMO.

From my experiences so far with my Ford Dealer having a few little things fixed under warranty should have been quick and easy. Not even close my car came away with more problems then when it went in. I would ask for their technicians to be better trained and know how the car should be pulled apart and put back the correct way. My advice is to stay away if you can!

Customer service and the ability to communicate to the customer goes a long way in my book. I could do without some of the things mentioned above as it's not always practical as far Ford is concerned, and understandable.

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of meeting Pat at Peter Warren (pretty safe guess to say that's you senna_T?) he was courteous well informed and gave me the time of day and answered all my questions. It was simply unfortunate that I couldn't do the deal on the day (had to flog off my car first) but I would have been happy to do so. Also a big thanks to Ratt (Dean) for the introduction, whom I contacted via the sites advertisers page.

Now, if only every meeting was as pleasant as that, we'd probably all be pretty happy campers. I'm praying that the quality extends to the service department, however going by a few other threads it would appear not. Which is a shame, and probably wouldn't hurt in raising our local company's profile for standards and quality. It seems like such a simple request, now lets hope my future experiences aren't as scary as what some of you have experienced.

That's my 2c :) I'll have to check back in when I get my Falcon just to see how things develop. However at this stage it would appear that my mechanical needs will be met by tuners instead :huuh:

I'd be happy with a dealership that ;

* doesnt let apprentices flog/smoke up/test drive your car

* has the car ready on time

* is honest and knowledgeable

* sells options at a reasonable price - $500 for tinting get farked!!

* admits the paint protection and other crap is just that

* doesnt act like you raped their mum/sister/dog the second you've signed for the new car and paid hte cash
