Lifestyle! WOOOHOOO! I love buying sh*t! We have an awesome lifestyle but we've had to pull it back a bit since all but 1 of my shares have taken a big hit. Since then I've been doing the ING account...

I've been investing in property and shares for more the 20 years now with property being the prime investment and has worked out very well for me.

I retired from fulltime work two years ago at the age of 37 to concentrate on more property development.

My wife will soon leave her job aswell but waiting for her long service leave to build up.

You have to think of where you want to be in say 15 to 20 years time. Investing IMO is a long time proposal and should benefit you in your later years.

So true there, since you look like you have put a fair amount of money on the asx.. have you looked at this assob website as most of these companies list on the market once capital has been raised and revenue comes in?

I know its my money but I thought I'd take a risk and see how it pans out, can't die wondering :tosser:

I had a look and the concept is great. I probably wouldn't throw my money in there at the moment, as I can see some tough times ahead and as a result, many will be sitting on their cash. It'll make it harder for these up & comers to get funding.

If I was mid-renovations at home and spending new XR6T-type $ figures on our wedding in December, I might just give it a fling as a bit of a punt. :hiwelcome:

that's what I thought, with the chance of buying in to some companies at 2-4cents a share with prospects of going to 50cents-$1 once listed, there "could be" some really good gains, or it could fall out the arse end

I have faith in the long term, and see low points in econimic cycles as a buying opportunity for investment.

As they say fortune favours the brave.

I just bought a house with my sister renting it out now! repayments are $2k per month we're getting $1200 per month from the rent so between us we're only forking out around $100 per week which works out pretty well! once this one is paying itself off with the rent only we'll move on to the next one! :beerchug:
