Wife drives it and leaves it at the station all day three days a week too.I don't see the point of a second car; the purchase price, maintenance, fuel, rego & insurance costs of a second car will be way more than any potential fuel savings. Not to mention the fact that a second car would be an older 2nd-hand unit that wouldn't have half the safety features in it. Also, my car is on a novated lease so it *has* to be driven to keep the k's up.Personally I feel warm & fuzzy knowing my wife is driving the kids around in a car that can accelerate out of trouble, stop safely, and has ESP so she is unlikely to lose control of it. And best of all, when I get home I can enjoy it too. It helps that I ride a motorbike to work of course. Kenaz Member 51 Member For: 17y 5m Posted 30/11/08 04:21 AM Share Posted 30/11/08 04:21 AM Mine is daily driven... and then some! I bought mine in July last year with 64k on the clock and just this weekend hit 118k. In that time it's been driven interstate, in snow, in 45 deg heat, raced at Heathcote, you name it
Sleeper6T Member 356 Member For: 16y 1m 26d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 30/11/08 06:52 AM Share Posted 30/11/08 06:52 AM It's my daily driver right now but dont want it to stay that wat. If I didnt need the extra few grand when I traded up id still have my daily stock Futura and use the T for the weekend and playtime driving. I dont want to get to the stage where the T becomes a typical daily driver with crap all over the inside the odd scratch or 2 that turns into more that you always say you'll fix and make look good again. Third part fire and theft to insure a stock falcon etc only costs me a couple hundred per year. So once I have some extra cash as much as I will want to put it into the T I'll buy another car again. I dont look at it from the point of view that it's "just a ford" for me it's something that I want to look after cos I enjoy driving it, it's my escape from reality and at times the B.S going on around me, and is the one really expensive hobby I have that is for the most part just for me. For me the excitement I have right before I drive it is something I want to always have and just feel if it remains my daily driver that excitment will deminish bit by bitBrad

I have already given my mrs the rock so my credit is long gone there.problem is, after marriage, even if I do get a Fg Xr6T how do you slip out the extra few thousand you need for the intercooler, tune etc.. Ill be having bread and water for lunch everyday and when I get home say, geez honey food has gone up alot... Everyone spends $50 a day on lunch where I work.. (theres my intercooler slush fund)..Gotta do it now before marriage!!! Book me tuner, ill pre-pay...I dont even have my car yet..Hey man!You gotta get your head around the fact that in marriage you are not the slave!I learnt far too late that if you don't do what YOU want - then you will always being doing what SHE wants you to do - after marriage they show their real colors which is to treat you like the house boy and ATMGo get the farkin car now and tell her to sit on it !!! Why wouldn't you want to drive one on a daily basis? Cars should be driven not parked in the shed.
