I got a new FG T and drive it daily. I'm pretty much restricted to a larger rear wheel drive due to the family and to tow the boat. The way I look at it, I've got an awsome car that leaves my old BA XR6 for dead for much the same fuel economy. Better still it will be better when I get a custom tune done win win all around.

2006 BF XR6T ............. my go to work car and weekend pleasure toy, only had it 2 months! Can't get enough drive time in the car........love it! The bike has taken a back seat for the present. I don't know when the car novelty will wear off.

Its all about what you find value in hulk, if you are happy to drive a Focus every day, then save your money and buy a Focus. If you want to drive something a bit nicer or bigger, what about a N/A XR6 with 6spd auto?

or a ba xr6 n/a on lpg like me :bum:

Im quite happy that two of my cars sit in the shed week in week out. I dont believe you can keep a nice car in good condition by using it as a daily hack. Others will disagree, but that's my opinion.

Well I had better not get these silly economic arguments into my head for too long.. I get married in 3 months... If I went out today and bought a FG XR6T the Mrs would be ok about it as she is spending a packet on the wedding, but after marriage, Im hoping she dont tighten the screws...

Its funny how they forget real quick all the money they spend..

When I come to my senses it might be too late. :bum: Maybe I should just run out and grab one whilst the wedding spending bonanza continues (before my window of opportunity closes up...)

I did the same thing your thinking about doin last year. 3mths out from our wedding I went out & bought a new bf T with a few minor mods to go with it. I got the big ring on her finger & she said she wanted to buy me a big plasma for christmas so I suggested we spend the money on injectors & tune. all good got that one done abit after christmas & over the next following months I eased her into the idea of more so I did it & then abit more so I did it & now phase 3 later. got to love the first year of marriage. ohhh yeah its a daily driver ive driven to brisbane & back which is about 3500klm & I just got back form a weekend at cooktown another 900klm round trip. it sits out the front of our workshop everyday of its life. wifes actually just taken it for work up I innisfail. but it gets washed at least once a week inside & out & serviced every 5000klm with syn oil. couldnt imagine goin back to a buzz bucket as a daily.

My wife drives ours too everyday. Then its my toy on the weekend. I don't see the point in buying a car to sit in the shed. Their fun to drive and that's what their designed for, (not to be parked.)

My 2cents.
