This question becoming more common. Why thinking of selling?

Low k's is good but technically now 4 years old with some good options. Im thinking 25-28k as a private sale.

It hurts a bit knowing the money you spend and the price you get when selling cars, unfortunatly nothing you can do. I wont be selling mine in a hurry.

Keep it dude. The price that you could get for it doesnt reflect how good the car is. My car was around 52k on the road (im the second owner) and now I would be lucky to get 20k for it.

I have an 03 with the auto, leather, premium sound with 48k on the clock and I'd have to agree by looking at prices lately, I reckon if I got about 20k - 22k id be doing extremely well and would be suprised if I could get anything more! (You should do a little better with your kms I would think)

The scary thing would be trading it in on a new FG, wouldn't like to know how much or little they would be willing to give me, although I think I'll have to take one for a drive one day!

I recently sold my T. An 04 BA 4 speed auto with 45,000km and leather, premium. Mint condition car. This car had plenty of enhancements so the price is not really representative of a true value of these cars if standard.

Fuel prices scares people, but I think its the police killing the resale values, letting BF or BF2 ex copper XRs into the market with 40,000km for a little over $20k. How many people said to me, (I can get a BF for $22k) But they are severely beaten up cars the ex coppers. But nevertheless that's what your competiting against. They are killing the second hand market. Plus there are plenty of brand new cars in the $20-30K bracket. People want NEW, even though in 2 years time the XR will be worth more than their NEW car.

Look at similar type performance cars, people are asking $24k for a 02 WRX with 90,000km. Cost $39990 brand new. You could get a 03 XR6T with 70,000km for under $20k easy. This car was about $7k more brand new, better car, most likely in better condition but less??

hulk,

I also was under the impression I could get a good bf for about 20-22 at auctions, but boy was I wrong.. biggest load of sh*t ever. The ex chaser-s are all in disgusting condition and have holes drilled in behind the doors, carpet is cut in various places and parts of the dash have been cut or badly dinted in when fitting their equipment.

fords will always lose value much quicker than any other brand.

they release a new model every 2 years :S

See your correct in what you say... Who wants to pay $20-22k for a rough car? not me.. But if you didnt actually see how rough they are, you would be content in concluding that you could get a BF for $20-22k and that most BA's are overpriced.

I would rather pay $5,000 too much for a mint condition car than get a car $5,000 under price and it be rough.

No way man. I paid $26K for mine a year ago

It is a July 2004 with Prestige Leather, Auto lights, Premo Sound and had 70000k's on it.

Being 1 year older now if I got $20k for it I would be happy.

These things really aren't selling well at the moment.
