Ba Xr6t Or Ba Mkii Xr6t ?

hey guys

currently looking at buying a ba xr6t

now I have a few questions

between the two

ba xr6t and ba mkII xr6t - ill be gettin a manual cos auto's are for VL's

1 . which model is the best to look at buying ?

2 . which model has the least problems ?

3. and also are the engines exactly the same in both models or have some parts been changed ?

If you must have a manual stay away from the T5 if you intend to mod the car, just will not take the power.

Post June 2006 production engines have the stronger Phoon rods.

Sounds like a Mk11 to me

I have always been told to buy the second series in a car.

MKII gets ya 6 speed T56 Auto lights on/off Backlit window switches(well mine does) and different 17" rims.

If you want a MKII try and pick one up with premium brakes. (the front calliper will be black in colour with a white ford badge painted on it)

yer I was in favour of the mkII as I want the 6spd

yer ill end up upgrading the valve springs and so on so that's ok

thanks for the advice guys

mk2 mate is the one to go for, they have better valve springs the 6 speed t56 will handle any power you want, they also got a few of the problems that were in the mk1 fixed. the engines are the same however( minus valve springs), but I'd be more inclined to go for a mk2 with the premium brakes (very important imho)
