Lucky I only paid $800 PD ;)

yeah their PD (like most dealers for most marques) was sloppy.. A few other things needed 'touching up' by me but hey it seems to be the thing with PDs.

I run 40 psi in my 17's. What type of Klms are you guys getting on the SP9000's? I only got 27500 out of mine......

That's what I got from mine on the T3 - but those kms were covered fairly quickly, heheheh, and I'm happy with that mileage. I have LM 702s on now and I'm (so far) quite impressed with them - they grip like the SP9000s, don't tramline, and are about $100 per tyre cheaper. Just gotta see how they wear.

I had the predessors of the LM702 (LM701) on a previous car and they were the ducks guts in that application - but quite expensive - about the same price as the SP9000s are for the XR6T 17"

Interesting to hear they work well RWD as well ;)

Good to see your dealer was thorough with their PD Aaron <_< 1500 bucks and they cant even check the tyre pressures!!

Same story here, the day after I picked mine upI went for a run and it was terrible. Really had me worried, what had I just purchased?

Fortunately decided to check the tyre pressures and found a 7psi difference between the 2 front tyres.

Sorted that out, like driving a different car.

1500 bucks ? what do you mean by that ?

I dunno about NZ, but here in Australia dealers charge "Dealer Delivery" for the honour of getting your newly purchased car washed, registered (but that doesn't Include the rego fees) and generally make sure it's ready for you to drive.

It used to be about $1K but these days is climbing towards $2K as dealers have worked out that it's almost pure profit if they shortcut the proceedure (ie not check tyre pressure, clean car properly, take note of poorly fitted trim and fix it then and there) etc ect

On some dealer the margin in the Delviery charge can easily double the profit the dealership makes.. Unless you got all that paint and farbic protection crap at full price...

I'm interested to hear how everyone is going with tyre pressures, I have just discovered my tyres were set to 32 PSI by Ford, I have now increased them to 40 PSI and am monitoring improvements in noise and cold tyre flat spotting.

So what pressures are we now running after several months of experience with our BAs?

I've got factory 18"s on mine. I was running them at 38psi but they were starting to feather the tyre. Dropped it down to 34psi as told by the tyre experts at bob jane (good friend of mine)..

I have been running 37 in the front and 36 in the rear. If they get to 34, I find the car does not handle as well. Factory 17" tyres.
