(don't worry too much about the spare as it really doesnt affect the handling that much unless its been fitted)!and Happy New Year.....

The spare I keep at 40, because I don't always check it and there is then some leakage possibly before it ever gets taken out of the boot in anger. AMoffat Member 744 Member For: 22y 30d Posted 31/12/02 11:45 AM Share Posted 31/12/02 11:45 AM Chris,No idea. When the door arrives (along with the car I'll tell you ). But seriously, 32 is fairly high - the manufacturers usually recommend 26 - 28 for that good ride.

However even if they do have 38psi which is obviously too high, l still think the ride is excellent compared to our ex TS50. Man that thing handed well but the suspension was amazingly firm, never been in a car like it.

I use it to check pressures regularly. Helps prolong tyre life if you avoid under inflation.
Guest exr6 Guests Posted 01/01/03 01:18 AM Share Posted 01/01/03 01:18 AM Another point of interest, always check tyre pressure when cold or in the morning before you drive it. If the tyres are warm they will give a higher reading, you let them down to 32psi, if you check them in the morning they will be too low. Pays to have decent gauge, not a $5.00 one from K Mart, mine cost about $30.

I had a cheapie and a reliable one - the $5 K-Mart Gauge was showing 10 PSI higher that what the pressure actually was.
